Goodbye to #Instagram / by Jenna Miller

Instagram Feed, 2013

Since instagram has decided to go forth with the new TOS I will be deleting my account tonight.

I couldn't put my decision any better than one of my greatest educators Katrin Eismann when she said this.

I feel like I have to take a stand to save my industry and my rights as a photographer and even if I'm just a small piece to that I still feel like it's still of utmost importance. As a photographer I work hard at what I do and I can't give up my rights to any of my photo work to a social networking company and not be compensated or credited for such.

As many of you, I really enjoyed the time I was able to use instagram. It taught me to look closer at shadows and highlights. It pushed me to constantly be looking at light. I also enjoyed being able for daily inspiration and insight from some wonderful photographers around the globe.

I can't say I didn't see this coming. In fact it is another reason why I wanted to start the photo pharm.

Like most of my photography friends I have already started working with the new flickr app, which is amazing by the way, and I will start exploring EyeEm very shortly.

Feel free to stay in touch.
